However, it looks like fans are getting tired of all the hypothetical Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey candidates and want the studios to finally give us some proper news.

When a fan favorite talks about playing Anastasia and Christian, that’s all exciting and good, but apparently this is not what fans want. In fact many fans are complaining that they want REAL casting news on Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, whether it’s from E.L. James or producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti. 

The studios have found a screenwriter for Fifty Shades of Grey the movie, but that’s not enough to keep the hungry fans at bay – they want Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. They’re tired of endless Anastasia Steel and Christian Grey polls on Books & Review, and there is only so much you can read about Ian Somerhalder or Matt Bomer reigning in at number one on the polls.

It looks like the initial excitement of the Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey polls have finally disappeared into voter fatigue.

“Vote fatigue has definitely set in,” said one Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey fan, “How many times can people vote on the same thing over and over again… I think the fan favorites have been made clear for a very long time now. It was fun at first, but it’s no longer fun and has become quite redundant and dragged out.”

While some fans are getting tired, others are getting annoyed at the producers and author E.L. James.

“From what I’m hearing all fan bases are getting tired of this,” said another fan on the Fifty Shades of Grey movie featuring Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, “Fans are becoming Fifty Shades of discontent. Eventually people will lose interest and move on if no news is forthcoming. I don’t have much faith that what the fans want will be considered. Those involve with the film don’t seem to be too fan friendly.”

The list of potential Christian Grey candidates seem to fluctuate on a weekly basis, but the top five remain pretty secure, however can this new Christian Grey candidate shake things up?

Gossip Girl’s Chase Crawford, who plays Nate Archibald in the series, is the new addition to the list of Christian Grey favorites who might give the others a run for their money. Chase fits the profile perfectly; he’s definitely got the good looks and body to take on the role of hunky Christian Grey and also has the grey eyes that we hear so much about. The actor is also the perfect age, at 27-years-old, so he’s the same age as Christian Grey.

Let’s look at Chase Crawford’s acting skills. He plays the part of young entrepreneur leading his own newspaper in Manhattan and definitely leads the luxurious lifestyle Christian Grey has, so it looks like Chase Crawford won’t be a stranger to town cars, fine dining and helicopter riding. However, there is something sweet and innocent about Chase Crawford’s character on Gossip Girl, which make us wonder whether he’s the ideal candidate to portray someone as complex and deviant as Christian Grey.

Chase Crawford may not be widely talked about for the role of Christian Grey, but slowly his name is rising in the polls, and while there is plenty of time before the studios consider casting Christian Grey for the movie version of Fifty Shades of Grey, does that give Chase enough time to catch up?

At the moment the hottest Christian Grey contenders are Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder and Ryan Gosling. At the moment the polls show Matt Bomer and Ian Somerhalder as being the fan favorites for the part of Christian Grey and have been maintaining their top spots quite firmly, although there is a bit of fluctuation between the two competing actors. Even E.L. James admitted to being a Vampire Diaries fan, which lends a nod towards Ian Somerhalder in the part of Christian Grey, but Matt Bomer, does have a huge fan following who are dying to see him take up the role of Christian Grey.

From porn star to pop star, the part of Christian Grey in the forthcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie has had its fair share of ridiculous rumors, and now the 18-year-old pop star Justin Bieber says he’s in talks for the role of Christian Grey.

During the Jonathan Ross show, he claimed that he’s been approached for the part of Christian Grey.

“They actually want me to be in the movie,” exclaimed Bieber on the show. He might have a huge teen girl following, but considering Justin for Christian Grey might upset some of the more hardcore fans.

Christian Grey is supposed to be 27-years-old and seduces a younger Ana into a relationship that has its own red room of pain and non-disclosure contract. Could the teenage Justin pull off such an adult role?

His girlfriend Selena Gomez has been connected to the part of Anastasia Steele, and Selena already appeared in a comedy sketch that parodies the characters book where Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele make an appearance. She might have enjoyed doing the hilarious clip for Funny or Die, but young Selena couldn’t see herself as Ana.

“I know I’m taking risks but I don’t think I could do that,” said Gomez, “That would be a little too much for me.”

Apparently before the skit, Selena had not read the book before and had no idea what was in store for Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

“When they told me about the skit, I didn’t know what the book was about, so I started to read it and was like, oh, this is spicy, I thought it was good, it was intriguing,” said Selena, “The skit was really funny.”

It’s unlikely we’re going to see Selena Gomez in the part of Anastasia Steele, but what about Justin Bieber in the part of Christian Grey? We can see that would bring in the wrong audience for an adult movie like Fifty Shades of Grey, and that the more mature fans would certainly not buy the teenage Justin Bieber as the mature and sophisticated Christian Grey.

It’s the role actresses all through Hollywood are fighting for, but one actress definitely does not want to take up the role of Anastasia Steele.

Keira Knightly is a bankable name and was named as a favorite for the role of submissive and innocent 22-year-old Anastasia Steele, but the British actress has been very clear on her stance and that she would definitely not play the virginal college girl who is seduced by Christian Grey. 

“Absolutely not!” exclaimed Knightly in reaction to her playing Anastasia Steele, “Just from what I’ve heard – f**k no! The hardest thing to capture about love is the actual physical intimacy between two people. The way two people behave when they are next to each other and touching each other. That’s a difficult thing to capture on film.”

After working on an emotionally intense movie like Anna Karenina, Keira is looking for something a little more light-hearted and less intense.

“I wanted to do something happy and positive and just to have a break from that,” said Knightly. It looks like doing an emotionally taxing role like Anastasia Steele is definitely not something the 27-year-old actress wants to be involved in.

Elizabeth Olsen is another actress whose name has been linked with the part of Anastasia Steele, but she’s also denied rumors about her connection to the role.

“No! No! No!” replied Olsen when asked about playing Anastasia Steele, “But it’s had a huge impact on society. Apparently rope sales have skyrocketed because women who’ve read the book are really getting into bondage, which is kind of great. It’s such a taboo for women to actually discuss sexuality without the help of Cosmopolitan.”

The list of potential actresses for Anastasia Steele remains extensive. Alexis Bledel and Twilight star Ashley Greene have hot the top spots in recent votes, with Harry Potter’s Emma Watson running not too far behind. While Keira and Elizabeth want nothing to do with Anastasia Steele, there are plenty of suitable candidates who are dying to get the role, do we have no concerns about finding the perfect Anastasia Steele.

Fifty Shades of Grey may have been based originally on the Twilight books, but E.L. James has made it clear that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are going nowhere near Anastasia and Christian in the movie adaptation of the books.

So far, many fans have pictured the Twilight couple in the role of Anastasia and Christian for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie that has been picked up by Universal Pictures and Focus Features that will be produced by The Social Network duo Dana Brunetti and Mike De Luca. Since the books were based on Stephenie Meyers’ bestselling series and that Anastasia and Christian were modeled on Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, it’s natural that many fans linked the young couple, who were also together in real life, with the Fifty Shades books.

Recently, our would be Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey have suffered a nasty breakup, due to Kristen cheating on her Robert, which has left a bitter taste in the mouth of many fans. E.L. James since has been vocal against the casting of the couple.

According to E.L. James, having Kristen and Robert in the roles of Anastasia and Christian would be “weird” and the author has been pretty obvious in being grossed out by the consideration.

So who would be a better option to take on the roles of Anastasia and Christian? At the moment fan favorites include Ryan Gosling, Matt Bomer and Ian Somerhalder for the role of Christian Grey, with actresses like Alexis Bledel, Emilia Clarke, Shailene Woodley and Lucy hale for the role of Anastasia Steele.

With the epic success of the erotic trilogy, it’s understandable that every single actor under 30 (or even over 30 in the case of Angelina Jolie) wants the role of Anastasia and Christian. The movie doesn’t even have a screenwriter yet it’s the most talked about production of the decade! Anyone can tell the movie that will tell the world the story of Anastasia and Christian on the big screen is going to be a smash hit. We have no idea who’ll get the much-coveted roles of Anastasia and Christian, but it won’t be RPatz and KStew, that’s for sure.

However, her role as commanding Queen Daenerys in the fantasy series makes her hard to imagine in the role as submissive Anastasia Steele.

Mila Kunis might be a bit old at 28, but she certainly has the look and most definitely the sass to portray Anastasia Steele. We can definitely imagine her driving Christian Grey crazy, and she is most definitely a hot choice to play Anastasia Steele – not to mention will draw some male audiences in.

Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester may need to don a pair of blue contact lenses to cover up those big brown eyes of her, but she would also make an excellent choice to play Anastasia Steele. Meester has already done the relationship with young billionaires with strange fetishes in Gossip Girl already and most definitely has the acting chops to pull off a role like Anastasia Steele.
